Ambience was great. One of the best fine dining restaurants. Food was excellent. Trust me vegetation plate amazed me with taste and presentation.seabass was cooked perfectly. Chicken soup and salad was a great appetizer. Service was friendly and caring. They answered all our questions about food clearly. Dessert was a yummy finish of meal.
Thomas waited on us tonight. He was spectacular! He recommended the Creole Spiced Braised Pork Osso Buco. It was brought back to the menu tonight and it was amazing. My wife’s Sweet Potato Crusted Catfish was also delicious. It’s obvious why McEwen’s is a top choice in Memphis. Top tier dining without the top tier price. It is my first time at McEwen’s, and the attendees and waiters were really approachable, and I love how they feature their today’s special menu which is grilled fish with blue cheese mashed potatoes and sautéed Brussels sprouts. As a newbie, I tried their today’s special dish.
Traveling for work and stopped in on a reddit tip. Fantastic decision. All the staff was so sweet and welcoming for a tired gal traveling alone but not wanting to sit at the bar. The food was AMAZING!! Had to have a bourbon cuz when in Memphis so I got the blackberry smash, very good not too bourbony :) Brie with blueberry compote and the salmon was to die for. Cooked perfectly! They even brought me steaming hot fresh biscuits (are they psychic!?) This place is just what I needed, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Sooooo good! I've said this at least 25 times today, their salmon is PHENOMENAL. 1000/10. I was greeted warmly by this older gentleman with really cool glasses! The service was amazing. Were extremely kind and asking if I needed anything. I'm still not over the flavors I enjoyed at this table. Plus, my entree and sides for just myself just came out to $20. Just exceptional all around and I will be coming here more often!! If you'd like to try a upscale restaurant with delicious food and great service.. come to McEwen's!!!!!!!!!
Visited here for a friend's surprise birthday party. The ambiance was nice and the greeter and servers were welcoming. This place has an extensive drink menu for both their alcohol and wine selections. I had a Macallan 12 with a medium rare ribeye while my wife had a Pinot Noir with a trust me vegetarian plate. My ribeye was okay but the sides were excellent. My wife loved her vegetarian plate. Overall for serving a party of over 20 it was a great experience.
In town for work and stopped in to eat. Everything we had was delicious.
Popped in here for lunch and immediately knew I’d try the Friday catfish lunch special. I love a restaurant that’s flexible on changing up the sides, and McEwen’s doesn’t charge extra for it. The cornmeal fried catfish was extremely delicious! The server is sweet and extremely helpful in giving me the tartar sauce to go. I will definitely come back just to have it again.
